Board of Directors
Vicky is the President of the Downtown Millburn Board of Directors. She has worked alongside her Mother, the owners of Shalas Boutique on Millburn Avenue, for the past 30 years.
Shayne is the Vice President of Downtown Millburn Board. He is the Representative from the Tony Award winning Paper Mill Playhouse. Shayne is also is a resident of Millburn.
Alex is the Township Administrator. A graduate of Seton Hall, he has his master’s in Public Administration. Alex has worked for the Township for over 11 years, he enjoys serving the community and helping to provide the quality of life people enjoy.
George is the Treasurer of DMDA. He is the Business Banking Specialist at Wells Fargo Bank, and has been there since 2015. George has 13 years of banking experience primarily in the managerial level servicing business customers.
Jim is the Secretary of Downtown Millburn. He has headed his Architectural Firm located on Millburn Avenue since 1979. Jim and his wife are very active in Millburn/ Short Hills community.
Harry is the Past President of Downtown Millburn. Harry has been a licensed Optician for 30 years, 10 of which has been at his beautiful store on Main Street.
Sam is the owner of Samuel Robert Signature Spaces on Millburn Avenue. After 17 years in the fashion industry Sam now offers his creative vision to interior design.
David is the principal owner of New Frontier an advertising and marketing firm that is located on Main Street in Downtown. David is very active in Millburn/ Short Hills Youth Baseball.
Stacy is one of the owners of Chocolate Works located on Millburn Avenue. When not making delicious chocolates Stacy can be found at home in Short Hills with her husband, boy/girl twins and her son.
Robert has been in the furrier business for over 30 years. He prides himself on making his customers experience at Schultz Furriers a perfect fit relative to their needs. His store is located on Millburn Avenue.
Jennine is the owner of Elements For Style, a gift boutique located on Millburn Avenue. Jennine has been a store owner in town since 2007, she formerly owned Molly Too.
Cheryl is the Township Liaison for our Board.
Tsambika is the owner of Anthisi SkinCare & Electrolysis, she is a state licensed Electrologist. In 2008 she took ownership of a building on Essex Street where she renovated and moved Anthisi Electrolysis.
”DJ the DJ” is the Owner of D Boy Entertainment. His business has been in Downtown Millburn for over 15 years. A graduate of Millburn High School you can hear him at most any big High School event.
Chris studied under the prestigious instructor Klaus Schnitzer at Montclair State University. He opened his studio in Downtown Millburn in 2010. When not taking photographs he spends his time with his wife and two children.
Judith Kramer, Esq.
Judith is a long time resident of Short Hills and is a property owner in Downtown Millburn. Judith serves on the Arts Advisory Committee and the Senior Citizens Committee.
Eve Golden has over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry. After an exciting corporate career Eve opened her first women's clothing boutique, Bungalow, a popular Millburn style destination for the past 7 years. Seeing a gap in the market, Eve recently opened her second boutique in Millburn, Scout, which is dedicated to the trend-driven customer.
Greg Smith, founder and executive director of Contemporary Art and Editions, has been a dealer and publisher of fine art for over two decades. Greg has served as an advisor to and been a member of the Board of a number of organizations devoted to the arts.
Design Review Committee
The Design Review Committee seeks to promote the use of appropriate design and architectural elements in the downtown district that are consistently of high quality and are visually appealing. All businesses planning to make exterior improvements to their properties are encouraged to submit plans, photos of the current and proposed work, and any information necessary for the Committee to adequately evaluate the proposed plan. The Committee reviews plans for facade improvements, signage, and awnings and makes a formal recommendation to the Township Construction Official or the Planning Board.

The Marketing Committee seeks to promote downtown Millburn as a classic suburban downtown that is vibrant, gracious, safe, accessible, and family-focused. These are characteristics that make our downtown appealing to a large range of customer segments. The Committee's slogan is "Shop, Dine & Enjoy Downtown Millburn" to target new customers, integrate business opportunities, positively advertise the advantages of shopping in downtown Millburn, and attracting new businesses.
Special Events Committee
The Special Events Committee plans events throughout the year which are designed to bring residents and visitors to our downtown to increase public awareness of our business and retail community. These events include: the Classic Car Show, Sidewalk Sales Days, Farmer's Market, Pre-school Trick or Treating, and the annual Snowflake Parade. The Farmer's Market is held once a week from June through October for the promotion and sale of New Jersey farm products.
Visual Improvements Committee
The purpose of the Visual Improvements Committee is to enhance the appearance of downtown Millburn by providing an attractive shopping environment. The Committee seeks to develop continuity and cohesiveness of the downtown through visual effects including signs, plantings, benches, and other amenities.
